# Abstract Method

A method signature without a method body that must be overridden.

## What is an **Abstract Method**?

An **abstract method** is a method signature without
a method body. Abstract methods **CAN ONLY** exist
in an abstract class. Any child class *must implement*
the logic for all abstract methods.

```csharp
public abstract class Building {
    public abstract void Open();
}
public class Hotel : Building {
    public override void Open() {
        // logic to open a hotel
    }
}
```
