# Additive animation

An animation that adds to existing values instead of replacing them.

## What is an **additive animation**?

An **additive animation** adds its values on top of existing ones instead of replacing them, so two animations can combine, like a shake plus a slide.

```css
.alert { animation: slide-in 0.5s, shake 0.3s; animation-composition: replace, add; }
```
