# Base Class

The class that other classes inherit from; it holds what they share.

## What is **Base Class**?

A **base class** is the class another class inherits from. It holds what the related classes have in common. `Vehicle` could be the base class for `Car` and `Truck`.

public class Vehicle { public int Wheels { get; set; } }
public class Car : Vehicle { }
public class Truck : Vehicle { }
```
