# Cookie

Small data the browser stores and sends back to the same site on every request.

## What is **Cookie**?

A **cookie** is a small piece of data the server asks the browser to store and send back with every later request to that site. `HttpOnly` cookies can't be read by JavaScript, which protects session tokens.
