# Entity

An object defined by a lasting identity (an ID), not by its values.

## What is **Entity**?

An **entity** is an object defined by its identity, not its values. A customer who changes their name and address is still the same customer, because the ID stays the same.

```csharp
public class Customer
{
    public Guid Id { get; }        // identity never changes
    public string Name { get; set; } // values can
}
```
