# JWT

A signed token carrying who the user is and when it expires.

## What is **JWT**?

A **JWT** (JSON Web Token) is a signed token with three parts (header, claims, signature) separated by dots. The claims say who the user is and when the token expires; the signature proves nobody changed them.

```json
