# Object-Oriented Programming

A way of organizing code around objects that bundle data with the actions that use it.

## What is **Object-Oriented Programming**?

**Object-oriented programming** (OOP) is a way of organizing code around *objects*: bundles of data plus the actions that work on that data. A `BankAccount` object holds a balance and knows how to deposit and withdraw. Most popular languages (Java, C#, Python, TypeScript) support it.

```csharp
var account = new BankAccount("Maria");
account.Deposit(100);
Console.WriteLine(account.Balance); // 100
```
