# Passing and Failing Tests

Green means expected behaviour; red shows what broke.

## What is **Passing and Failing Tests**?

A **passing** test means the code behaved as expected; a **failing** test shows what went wrong. In TDD you watch a test fail before writing the code that makes it pass.
