# Property

A piece of data that an object holds, such as a name or a price.

## What is **Property**?

A **property** (also called a field or attribute) is a piece of data an object holds, like a person's `Name` or a product's `Price`.

```csharp
public class Product
{
    public string Name { get; set; }
    public decimal Price { get; set; }
}
```
