An API style built around resources with URLs, used through standard HTTP methods.

## What is **REST**?

**REST** is a style for designing web APIs around *resources* (recipes, orders, users), each with its own URL, acted on with standard HTTP methods: GET to read, POST to create, PUT/PATCH to change, DELETE to remove.
