# Scroll snapping

Makes scrolling settle neatly on each item.

## What is **scroll snapping**?

**Scroll snapping** makes a scrolling area settle neatly on items, like a photo carousel that stops on each photo.

```css
.carousel { display: flex; overflow-x: auto; scroll-snap-type: x mandatory; }
.carousel img { scroll-snap-align: center; }
```
