A line of code that contains one or more expressions.

## What is a **Statement**?

A **statement** is a line of code. 

You can think of a statement like a sentence. A sentence is 
made up of words and a statement is made up of 
expressions. 

Statements perform an action.

let answer = 3 + 4; 
```
